About Senior Services

The Senior Services Centers are located in DeKalb, Cortland and Genoa:

• The DeKalb location is at 330 Grove Street, DeKalb. It is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday evenings until 8:30 p.m.

• The Genoa location is at 400 E. 2nd Street. It is open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

• The Cortland site is located at 70 South Llanos. It is open Tuesday and Friday 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Community members, especially seniors (aged 55 and over) are encouraged to participate in the activities and services provided by the Family Service Agency.

Senior Centers provide health and wellness promotion, education programs, social/recreational activities and mentoring.  For general information, visit the Senior Services Center, the senior Activities Calendar or call (815) 758-4718.

                     A $1500 YEP Grant was awarded to Senior Services for the

               new Generations Appreciating Positive Socialization (GAPS) program

            that prepares high-school teens to visit seniors confined to care centers.
